Dont think that director is saying and doing the same thing.
What other division got fresh grad at G grade.
Dont talk family when the directors are playing their politics and getting the working level screwed in the middle of it.

I also want to grad in 2022, get retrenched early 2023 and offered grade G at 10k+ base salary to match my pay before retrenchment.

they are setting up a particular group for failure so that they can take the blame for all the screwups in the organization and protect those who cannot be blamed.

just make sure you aren't in that group, you'll be ok.
