Update: DSTA sent me information about the coding assessment this morning! They took 3 weeks for me, seems like it might rly take some time.

Dsta is a good place to train software engineers. But hope u don’t get your expectations up too high. There are no actual cloud team, only PowerPoint warriors talking about sovereign cloud. U will hear the story of a cloud team that is rapidly expanding and talking about how they are going to develop their own on-prem cloud apps comparable to AWS, Azure and GoogleCloud. The last we heard of, they haven’t progress past their ppt slides. How do you even get your projects up to cloud when the organization doesn’t even have development internet. As long as u work in defense related projects, your technical growth is expected to be slower than your industry peers.

Anyone know if there will be salary adjustment upon attaining a degree? Currently working there as a engineer for 3 months now and I checked with HR, they only say there is a yearly salary adjustment and did not go further into details. currently earning mid 4k range with dip.
