I'm not sure of the starting pay. For most govt jobs now its 1 year probation and its usually renewable unless you really screw things up/ have conduct issues

Interview at HDB

I was called up for a pre-interview in early May. Scheduled for a written assessment a couple of days after. Confirmed the final interview about a week later. Took about 2 weeks for them to get back with an offer - currently pending final checks for this. Not sure how long they will take to confirm the final offer. Will update in due course. Job posting applied for was Engineer.

Is it a contract role? For system analyst, I only attended one interview they get back to me after 1 week and slightly more than 2 week for the email offer.

Would you know the pay range like for grad with a few years of exp? 😄 and how's the career progression there like?

Hello! Do you happen to know why the estate manager turnover rate is so high? Is the job really very bad?

If you have a few years relevant experience, they may offer you $5k and above.

How far you can go depends on you. In the 1st few years, they will identify you either as a leader or farmer. Opportunities follow. But I have seen older ones, early 40's, being recognised and promoted too.

The MX scale applies equally to all.

The estate manager job is advertised every few months

The estate manager takes on roles to manage the estates. There are many blocks in SG, and even more households. I am not surprised if there is turnover. Zero turnover is impossible. Also, people reach retirement age too.

Do you need to have a degree or at least a local diploma to be an estate manager?

Not that I know of. There is now progression in the MX scheme. Last time, non-grad and grad are separated. Non-grad cannot progress to grad schemes w/o degree qualifications. It is now merged. Non-grad would start lower in the schemes but can catch up with grads.

if its just diploma, isn't it only estate exec?

Unregistered 24-06-2021 11:19 AM

Coz I applied for the estate manager post and it was unsuccessful. Dunno if its because I don't have a degree though I possess a private diploma but with years of related experience in the pte sector. If degree is what they want then no point of me re-applying.

Unregistered 28-06-2021 03:57 PM

Via email. I emailed HR about a week after the interview, and she said that she'll let me know the moment she has info on this and she got back to me 2 weeks after. So you might want to check with HR?

Hi! Yup I got a reply but it's to sit tight haha...

During the interview I asked about the next steps in the hiring process, and the HR mentioned that they will get back within 3 weeks. However, when I emailed in last week, the HR contact that I have been liaising with said that she has not received the selection report.

So... gotta wait it out I guess
