P1 is basically the lowest level of App consultant.
anything below 4000 excluding non-existent bonus i guess.

If you check from Glassdoor, you should add about 8% since they just abolish AWS

TLDR; NCS is a good company ONLY for people who wants to retire.
People who wants to climb corporate ladder, get a fair compensation, work on challenging projects, starts their career... stay away.

Here are my glassdoor review which keep getting removed - i have no idea why my review keep getting removed. This is the last version of it (since i type it in ms word knowing well it will get removed again - which is true).

IMO NCS is employing someone to prop up their less than dignified glassdoor score. Flagging any negative review whenever possible and add those stupid one or two liners 5 stars reviews.

## PROS:
It is a good company to retire peacefully. There is not much happening. Things go very slowly. If you are NOT looking for fast promotion, intellectual challenge, high salary, this IS the place to be.

Company that dish out contracts for most of the employees. Once you are a perm, you have earned your retirement.

This is NOT a place for fresh grad. You will get exploited to the max and your career will pretty much ruined having this company as part of your resume.

STAY away! unless you are really into early retirement.

## CONS
Low pay and low bonus for most employees (if HR said the bonus is good, he or she is probably lying out right since Singtel will take most of the loot.

Favoritism is a common occurences and best practice is 'lip service' at its best and career is a dead end for most people.

And really, no good friend will recommend anyone to sign up for this sweat shop.

## Advice to management
After my less flattering review, I am pretty sure there will be two or three short positive reviews and another short negative reviews with stupid cons like 'distance to MRT is too far' and 'food can be boring'

Really guys, you can do better than this.

Value your engineers more.

+1 on best practice
really their best practice is only for show on paper only. Once the project is secured, it is back to 3rd world processes and bickering

After reading online reviews, I avoided joining the local SIs when I graduated from private uni in 2011. Looking back, it's the best decision I ever made. I joined a European SME as a consultant. Still with the same company now.

I can count with one hand the number of days I had to OT. I had to work 2 Saturdays due to critical production issue. That's about it - in 4 years! My salary now is at least 50% more than an NCS consultant with same experience.

So advice for young graduates starting out their careers in IT, prioritise these companies:

(1) European companies
(2) US companies
(3) Local companies
(4) Chinese/Indian SI (e.g. TCS, Cognizant, Pactera)
.
.
.
.
(10) Local SIs

Also if your academic achievements is average, like me, i.e. can't make it as an associate at the banks, then joining an SME makes more sense. You can make an impact and prove your worth there, rather than being just a another head count.

NCS is good...

If you want to retire.

For fresh grad, go somewhere else. Given the option, I would rather go unemployed, waiting for better opportunity then having NCS as part of my CV now

*sigh*

NCS is my first job out of uni. I should be worry to accept their offer since it is rather easy to get. Leave NCS after slightly less than 2 years. Now working for a real company that do take care of their staff's development and well being. Wasted my time there? probably. At least I am now in a better place.

In short, working in NCS is like drinking kool-aid from your bosses who are promising heavens and earth in exchange for working 80 hours days a week doing something really meaningful and advanced.

Big bonus awaits. Promotion. Transfer to OPTUS/Singtel-HQ if you are doing good* yada yada yada

Lies and empty promises. No such thing. Especially after merger with Singtel. Anyone that said 'it is ok to have low salary since NCS has big bonus' are probably from recruitment company or HR.

It took me a while to find next job. Having NCS as your first job is really bad especially if you want to apply non-SI companies or proper consulting jobs. In term of IT hierarchy, NCS is taking jobs that no other company can or want to do - sh*t jobs with low margin and low value with no regards to quality.

And since NCS salary is quite low even for IT, good luck when interviewing HR asking for your current salary.

Ok better stop now

*come to think about it, if the boss is dangling carrot called 'transferring to other companies' as reward for you working hard in your current one, something is really awfully wrong.
