Any hiring manager will catch you out the moment you come in for interview, from the way you stumble trying to answer competency questions (needed for any half-decent FO role) to the unpolished way you interchange chinese, english and colloquial singlish to your obvious lack of industry knowledge and network to establish even a sliver of credibility of your suitability for the role.
