April/May are promotion months, but Oct is when the salary increments would come in.
May 2013 I got my 1A1 rank (though it was at this point where my 8% and annual increment kicked in), but it was only Oct 2013 when I actually got the increment.
Likewise, received my 1A2 in April 2014, but increment only came in in Oct 2014.
The downside? A PB of C for the past two years.
