There was an 8% increase but that was only in 2012...
However I must say, your current pay level at 1A2 after 3 years of service is quite accurate.

April/May are promotion months, but Oct is when the salary increments would come in.
May 2013 I got my 1A1 rank (though it was at this point where my 8% and annual increment kicked in), but it was only Oct 2013 when I actually got the increment.
Likewise, received my 1A2 in April 2014, but increment only came in in Oct 2014.
The downside? A PB of C for the past two years.

Guys only get 200 more per month from NS lol.

Yeah but I attained first class (female), but post NIE was about 3.7k

was it because of the promotion, hence the PB of C?

Lol, then maybe he is lying lor. If all else is the same, he should be getting 3.9k after NS for post- NIE and not the 4.1k that he has mentioned. Maybe he included his bonus or sth.

Teachers in MOE is sick in their mind, and it is a sad thing that a bunch of psychopaths are in charge of our kids.
I would advise against people becoming a teacher unless you have the attributes below
1) Suck coc
2) manipulative
3) you are a pretty girl
4) you are a scholar
For such a high salary, people are leaving in droves not without reasons. Everyone can take very high stress. Not everyone an stoop low and licking the coc of their HOD for survival.

I don't wanna sound too desperate here, but actually if you've been rejected in MOE interview before, what're the chances that MOE will call you up for an interview again?
I understand that there must be a 6-month period in between before you can re-apply, but after re-applying, will they just ignore your application (due to whichever reason that you got rejected the previous time)?

My sharing to those who wish to switch to MOE, do it ASAP....
me...with 4 years experiences switch to MOE get a 15% paycut in 2003
my friends (same time) ...with 11 years experiences switch to MOE get 45 to 50% paycut in 2003
Now both of us in the same pay scale GEO1A3 and hit to the ceiling of $7400 per mth, did not have pay adjustments for last 2 to 3 years
Both are relatively happy as a teacher, work to help our younger generation, the hardwork you put in do not equaute to your pay, usually teachers work long hours, but our focus is not the money but the students, i think as both of us in the mid 40 to 50, we are happy and just want to have a stable life in teaching
