Riding on this question, what about the other way round? There are many deputy directors and directors at late 30s and early 40s. Not all of them will make it to directors where they lead a division, and not all directors will make it to even more Senior Mgmt posts. What happens to these people?
If they leave, where do they go?
If they stay, what do they do?
