The best home to buy is a BTO
HDB flat as this is the cheapest form of housing in Singapore. Relative to median income, I think this is the cheapest public housing in the world. Relative to income, a $10,000 2 room BTO flat is simply incredible. It is almost free.
The next best thing is of course a resale
HDB flat if you don't qualify for a BTO flat. Your plan to buy a 2 room resale flat is prudent. Your salary is big enough to service your mortgage.
