There maybe some truth in what he said if you recalled the recent market adjustments in 2011 and even before. Those are on top of the annual MI and increment for promotion. Though personally, his annual package actually looks more like the standard package for a Director level in Ministry.

Yes, I am applying for a AD position there.
Also looking at applying another job in Ministry of Manpower. I am 35 with 10 years work experience in GLCs.
Can I ask if assuming I am applying for a job directly relevant to what I am doing will they accept me at as Director level?
