It depends whether you're going for specialist or generalist in government sector. If it's latter, discipline doesn't really matter.
DSTA/
DSO should be a good place for power specialist. Not sure if EMA or any agencies (outside defence sector) taking in specialist in power but can try writing in. Pay-wise, you can try asking on threads e.g. DXO,
DSTA etc depending on which agencies that you're targeting.
