withholding salary history to prospective employer
Has anyone had experience withholding your past salary history with your prospective employer before? Reason being that most employers will just form a heuristic judgement on how much you are worth (maybe 10-20% more from your current drawn) or worse, won't even offer you anything more after knowing that you recently got an increment.
But current salary drawn is a field that always appears in any job application and I was just wondering if anyone has firmly refused to divulge it in a prospective interview based on the fact that honestly, it has no bearings or whatsoever on your future salary.
