From what I've seen, opportunities are limited, growth is restricted, especially in the beginning years when they are just happy with the CEP they gave at the start. Then when life commitments roll in, they say with X-years experience, I should be doing even more now. And everyone selectively forgets that after 14y, climbing from 2.2, 2.1, 2A1... GEO1, GEO2.. I've only just moved to GEO 3, bringing home only 2.9 per month. OPE has not worked. Trying different tracks was not an option - was advised to stay on teaching track etc.
People have since forgotten that we exist... just because there's less of us now doesn't mean that we disappeared. Even worse for those of us who are promised emplacement only to be left behind when they merged the scales and say - no such thing anymore. Just feeling so tired.

yes, there was period in time (2015-2017?) where those who completed their part time degrees at then UniSim were not emplaced automatically or were given some lame excuse on why the emplacement didnt take place. not sure if any of them took it up to HR and beyond or not. but i do know a number of them decided to go for the shortcut: chase after leadership position in schs.
if such a thing were to happen now, please bring it up to Louis Chia so that at least the public knows about it.
