10k a month is nothing. If any ED believes 10k is highly paid, say it out and lets see how many of the department officers quit on him or her

I think we should be able to say openly, public service is a job. Yes is a meaningful job but jobs need to pay well and commensurate with workload and market rate. Public service is not politics. We did not run a campaign for the citizens to ask for a chance to serve. We are hired via interviews and tests because we were assess to have certain skills and expertise which are necessary for public governance.

Level of taxation wont change if you reduce all the public sector salaries. It will change if there is a change in politics. Just look around the world
