Younger generation as in how old? To be honest, back then, I also didn’t want to start as an A1. To me, it felt like a lot of saikang work. I had done quite a lot of internships, so I didn’t want to do the same thing for another year. But the Big Four firms have a very structured hierarchy, you can’t really jump ranks unless you’ve done the 9 month internship program or there are some other special exceptions. If you want to climb faster in the Big Four, I suggest skipping university and going directly to ACCA or a private university (2 years ).
