lets do some simple pri sch math with authentic examples
6 YOE, GEO3 at $5500 basic gets 9% adjustment - adjusted upwards by $495, monthly basic is now $5995
7 YOE, GEO4 at $5700 basic gets 5% adjustment - adjusted upwards by $285, monthly basic is now $5985
and since the GEO3 is very near the new ceiling, he or she will be promoted to GEO4 from 2023 onwards, with the restored original increment, while the GEO4 promoted between 2020-2022 got the reduced increment only
