Lots of government funds were used on healthcare and elderly support.
U can easily read up on the budget to know how much they spent.
I visited the polyclinic. 95% is elderly. Subsidies were all given for them.
Merdeka, pioneer card? Lots of discount for private dental, and clinics.
Even bus fares were heavily subsidized.
Clearly, the funds used on them were taken from the pool of gov revenue, which consist of all the taxes that everyone pays.
Its a cycle. Subsidized rate = lower tax for them to pay = lower gov revenue = how to support their own generation?
