Honestly quite pathetic.

For the amount of time we have to spend on exams plus the cost of the basic degree itself. The comp is terrible.

Most of my peers from secondary school who did other fields are making >200K per year now. With all the perks of an evolving workplace - WFH, 4 day work week, etc.

It's true that doing medicine to earn money makes no sense, but to take on more risk and be paid less sucks.
