It didn't happen to me, but I had a colleague who missed a reported fracture. Pt was recalled the next day, nothing major happen to her (it was a undisplaced metatarsal fracture), just a delayed referral to Ed for casting by 1 day. (Traced eventual outcome, nothing major happen, seen Ortho 1 week later, placed in aircast boot)

But my boss took umbrage and decided to report my colleague (who is cond reg) to smc? Now my friend having difficulty getting full reg...

Tbh in my time in ops, I have seen gps outside refer for more dodgy/dangerous things (like chest pain to ops for ecg, best one was a k 6.6, to ops for subsidized gm referral??) But pple outside seem to care less or more forgiving

U sure or not.
This kind kenna report to smc is basically the last straw in a line of mistake
Anyway, got X ray report can still miss a fracture
Means never read the report?!
Cannot lei. Not acceptable

I got mis - read the wet film before cos X ray report not out when doing X ray at 5pm.
End up got fracture
But it's incompetence, not neligence.

U could have also report the GP who didn't take action for a k of 6.6
