this is quite common in the UK, where Big 4 hires many non-uni grads or GSCE A Level school leavers in their apprentice programmes to be full time auditors
for those of you conned to study BAcc last time. sorry, sucks to be you. should have studied a more valuable degree. Accounting is really a field that can be picked up by self study.

I don't fully agree. I think advanced accounting (consolidation, forex, etc.) is difficult and worthwhile to learn. But, the pay for accounting/audit is indeed lower than other professions, and even more so, when we consider the amount of hours needed to grind at work.
