Your arguments are harping on technicalities without looking at the big picture. Tech agencies in the public sector have repeatedly tried and failed to build up deep technical expertise over the years. They do need to try something different and tap on the people and expertise from the private sector to keep Singapore ahead. |
(1) please quote examples. People have no real work or not is not something we should worry about. It will be reflective in their performance appraisal. They will have to compete with their peers and managers have to answer for them
(2) you are right standards are getting higher. Even for govtechies our competencies and appraisal is getting more wordy to write. There's so much more to prove. So existing govtechies are still going through vigorous assessment. The question is why are they so easily absorbed at 60 plus people plus getting high salary? It doesn't make sense.
Ogp published their salary online. Do we as govtech publish our salary online? If not pls leave ogp out of it.
