The one extra year of training is nothing compared to the much lengthier training period that other professionals like doctors have to go through. The stress and hours that lawyers face are also no different to other highly-paid white collar jobs like bankers and consultants.

DENTISTRY. Starting pay is around $7000/month as well for a fresh IMG dentistry graduate working at a major chain like Q&M. No service bond to the government is required if you studied abroad in a recognised dental school.
Downside is the higher cost of school fees and the lengthier duration of study.
