Agreed, and to add - a $7k NQ salary (assuming you live with at home) is more or less the same take-home as a London MC NQ on £125k gross after he/she pays 40% tax and rent, and before considering the generally higher COL in the UK. And as you said, in SG the qualification process is much shorter so you'll get to that level of earning faster than someone in the UK.
