I have knowledge of a high-ish tier scholar who graduated pgde in 2017, who got geo5 this April. Male, NSman, first class hons (last time starting pay was differentiated by hons class, don't know about now). 6.9k gross only.
Even if you are a PSC scholar and you hit seo1 at 6 YOE (yes, this exists), it's mathematically impossible to be at 8k gross unless you enjoy a special formula for higher increments compared to your peers. |
Very reasonable analysis. I have a close friend who started his teaching career in 2016 and the last I understood, he was drawing mid-high 6k (didn’t ask for specific details).
