Just to share about my experience as a doctor in Sg in the private sector.

I find being a fulltime locum which I was for 10 years pays better than a private group GP. There is more freedom and flexibility though no cpf nor paid leave. The rates have also gone up through the years. Rarely, you may meet with a clinic with cashflow problem and delayed payment but mostly the
y pay on time.

I used to work 30 plus hrs a week and earn around S$12-13k
Now with a private group I only earn S$9k plus for 43 hrs of work.

I have no choice as am under conditional license now for health reasons.

But a word of caution about joining small GP chains as a fulltime Dr. I didn't have good experience with that. MCs are difficult to take and one group promised me S15k a mth but didn't pay me at all when I requested for mc instead they fired me.
Another group also made me pay them money insisting I didn't give them due notice.
So be careful joining small GP chains as fulltime Drs, my experience is bad with tjem
