I don't know your friends either, I don't know their situation or what their issue is. I do know TS's issue because he made this thread.

I just thought it was weird that you tried to relate to TS ( or whatever u were implying ) when you said people look down on overseas uni grads... because they don't lol

like it or not, you're better than SIM grads. there's a reason why tech companies interview and hire overseas uni grads and u can actually see many many Singaporeans from Australian Uni, Glasglow Uni, etc on linkedin where they work in large tech companies.

Yet I can't find a single SIM grad who has worked in a tech company worth mentioning. so based off this data alone and the general consensus around SIM grads, it's quite obvious that overseas uni are equivalent to local uni at least in terms of hirable...

the same cant be said about SIM.
