The associates nowadays get slaughtered with sqp and no proper guidance from the top. Alot left not because of the instant gratification that they get from other career. Boomer & Gen X partners just want to squeeze the millennials and Gen Z. Engagement teams are always understaffed to maximise profit. Double booking on engagements is extremely common. They expect people to OT like dog everyday but Gen Z will not tolerate such nonsense so don't expect the turnover rate to drop.
Big 4s are increasingly relying on work permit holders but even the work permit holders don't tolerate such nonsense and leave after 1-2 years. I noticed my big 4 firm prefer to hire females. This is most probably due to reservist for males and maybe females are more easily manipulated by the firm
