LOL sacrificing your youth. If you leave as a senior associate, you'd only be 25-28 years old depending if youre a girl or guy. And for most auditors, only the first 4-5 months of the year requires such a "sacrifice"

And these SMs are lucky that they survived their earlier years due to their 5-days course and larger engagement teams.
The associates nowadays get slaughtered with sqp and no proper guidance from the top. Alot left not because of the instant gratification that they get from other career. It is simply because the workplace is simply inhumane. You will find out in a while. No need 9 years, just a few years and you will be out and you come here talk again.

Boomer & Gen X partners just want to squeeze the millennials and Gen Z. Engagement teams are always understaffed to maximise profit. Double booking on engagements is extremely common. They expect people to OT like dog everyday but Gen Z will not tolerate such nonsense so don't expect the turnover rate to drop.
Big 4s are increasingly relying on work permit holders but even the work permit holders don't tolerate such nonsense and leave after 1-2 years. I noticed my big 4 firm prefer to hire females. This is most probably due to reservist for males and maybe females are more easily manipulated by the firm

You got that right. Boomers need to realize Gen Z are a whole different class. Their priorities are completely different and they value wlb more than just making some moola.
CNA had a commentary article on Gen Z in the workforce, pretty good read.

It fails to mention that a lot of Gen Zs also work crap jobs with slack hours and earn 3k a month, then proceed to spend their salary on things like expensive gym memberships and yuppie food/drinks.
Money in money out, good luck to them man.

Lol this conversation makes me feel old man, even though I’m not boomer.
Times have changed. Mindset of 20s and 50s not the same.
