Yeah have no plans to enter the construction industry. Previously I took a summer intern at a main contractor company just to gain more exposure, wow the people there are really under paid + overworked. Maybe that explains why there are mostly foreigners there.
Btw, how you switch over to the tech industry? I am keen in joining but my major is mech engg so I don’t know if there’s much relevance there. Would appreciate any advise. I’ll be graduating next year.

Answered it in my previous post.
Nothing to worry about relevance.. i was in civil also which isnt too relevant.. you can try to relate your final year study/research or whatever with tech related subject (data science for example). Also in your case it may be wise to take a few cs related courses.. and maybe try to get another tech related internship before you graduate. If you have the luxury of time and funding, consider taking a cs minor even tho you may need to delay ur graduation by another year. But trust me, the benefit is worth it
