Anyone can be a GP as long as you have an MBBS or MD equivalent. No Family Physician Residency is required to open your own GP practice. Surgeons can be GPs too.

In other words, you just need full registration with
SMC. Don’t need family physician/internal med/geriatric residency. No need for Dip M.Med. Letting those overseas docs who have conditional registration know, you can’t do this until you get full registration.
