Warning letter has serious implications. I would say that a delay in promotion is expected to the very least.

my practicum ends in april/ may if i recalled correctly and my batch mate male were all prpmoted to geo 3 in oct i was only promoted to geo 3 in april the year after( 6 mths aft them) due to that investigation etc etc
