Most pmet roles available are more junior which can be filled by younger staff, younger staff typically
- Paid lower
- Learn faster
- More aware of IT related issues (Can created Macro's etc)
- Okay to work longer (less commitments)
- Usually more susceptible
- More energy
Additionally if the person is too senior their vies may conflict with the manager, so unless government gives more incentives companies will also hire younger staff.
Unless the PMET comes with the ability to create new sales lines and increase company business via his contacts or is very technical related (i.e Engineering) and little training is required.

Assuming the candidate is in good health, why would employers hesitate to hire older workers? I personally feel that their wealth of experience is something that companies would be excited about.
