The increment is low too but its standard across statboard (3% max depending on performance usually u get C grade). Culture wise unfortunately was toxic where I was in, where workload is high for younger/newer officers as projects were like thrown down from the top. The most free people are those sitting at the top in my dept (Asst director and above), they earn much more, but are the bullies at the same time. I do not recommend joining MPA.
Between unemployment and bullies, I choose bullies.

As least you are getting paid.

And can continue looking for jobs.

I was shocked because it was below what i expected.

Is this normal or did I get lowballed?

I really like this job and would prefer to take it but it is disheartening when i have other jobs offerering me more than 5k?

Do I have any chances of being able to negotiate for a better package?
Hi,

Based on what I know for mpa, they pay higher for PhD because it's relevant for some of their jobs.

Regret joining MPA

I really regretted joining MPA. My job description did not include operations.

The work life balance is ****, considering being 24/7 on standby for duty. Spending weekends and public holiday at POCC. It’s just underpaid and not regarded well.

Kinda hard to find a new job for not having any achievements in MPA.
