Plenty of jobs out there

Don't have the mindset that you can only work as a teacher

See what portfolios you have built so far, and maximise your strengths

There are people who switched to other jobs in the wider civil service, such as general admin, or officers in other ministries and stat boards relevant to their skillsets, like NHB, NLB, MCCY, Nparks

And there are people who also switched completely to the private sector, doing corporate roles, such as corporate comms, HR, business development. Some went back to the private sector fields they are qualified in, e.g. engineering, research and laboratory work, journalism, mass comm/advertising

Don't be self-limiting

There are many. You just need to start from scratch i.e. fresh grad salary.

Unregistered There are many other jobs but all have their own stress.

It is likely that other input is being considered.

But not disclosed.

For instance, social media postings may be adversely affecting the employability.

The presence of visible tattoos may not help either.

i heard that with the tightening of FAJT work requirements, many dont even want to be FAJT anymore. so some hods seem to be having a headache finding enough FAJTs to plug the manpower shortage. end up some problematic ones may still stay on because the department got no choice

FAJT application unsuccessful. Twice.

Hi all, is it possible for my application to be successful if a school request for me to be an FAJT in their school? I was called by my old school to come work as an FAJT there. But my application was unsuccessful.

Yes, hard to get FAJT now when FAJT are required to do committee or FT or Cca. Defeats the purpose of converting. But be reasonable and not play hard to get, hods usually close one eye. Want to be FAJT, want to be slack but want high pay, want easy life. Cannot la, no one owes you a living.
