High competition - good for your growth if you can make it. You will get to know more talented people and built up more competencies.
After all, you can go anywhere if you are competitive
In low competition place, you can easily get complacent without knowing that you are falling behind your peers in terms of competency.

If your boss told you to move, you better move. Don’t stuck in a place where there is no hope / no recognition or appreciation. A few years down the road, you will be grateful that you made a move and regret that you didn’t do it earlier and wasted a few years. When you get old, you’ll hope those few years aren’t wasted as you could have advanced further.
