One rough timeline for EY’s plan to split the firm involves any proposal being issued to the firm’s estimated 12,000 partners around the globe by the end of August if the global leadership decide to proceed with the break-up, according to an industry source.

The timing and other details of the plan will likely be discussed at a meeting of senior EY partners from around the world scheduled for this week.
==========
The view of leaders at one rival big four consulting firm is that the current uncertainty around EY will be distracting to partners and those close to partnership. In this view, rivals will have an opportunity to win EY clients away from the firm and should look to recruit senior EY staff members.

How does this affect me

You need to seek mental help if you’re getting stouter.
Job stability is correct.
Annual pay increase… mostly correct except during covid
Audit for life… ok suit yourself
Cannot make partner will can make SM… ok la, need a certain endurance to make is there.

Now SM pay got 5 figure already?
Thanks for saying I'm PREMIUM troll. YA nowadays SM pay already cross 5 figure liao la.. especially after a certain firm give 20% increment. AIYA.. go home also do those bo liao stuff...might as well do OT and WORK right? Can stay as SM for a few years while waiting for the right exit opportunities to come (eg. 20% increment at a commercial firm). Audit got job stability, yearly increment and promotion and good brand name. What's there not to love?

Tio boh?!
