Actually depends leh, im in stat board, not using mx schemen.. my grade same like mx12, but my ceiling is 9k++.. entry is $5k+++... sorry to say this, but mx is for generalist, while specialised scheme pays higher..

yeah,I have almost 5 years of experience, so seems l kinda kena low balled by HR as I will probably be stuck with this pay for a few years before next promotion, any kind advise if I should accept this offer?

your offered salary for AM is dam high.

for AM in civil service, most M or SB wont offer this high, unless u have lots of experience.

to provide more context, your almost hitting the ceiling for MX12.

You are likely to be MX10, where the designation can either Senior Assistant Director or Deputy Director. Its not that common to be hired at MX10. If I recall correctly, it requires PS-level approval.

Do you mind sharing your YOE?
