Unregistered anyone failed pre employment medical due to visual test?
it can be resolved with updated spectacles prescription but on the form it was written to meet the 6/12 requirement

Unregistered what do you mean by receiving the job offer? if is it something like the HR called you and mention about clearance, then i think it will take a few weeks before they update you about the final outcome.

may i ask which ministry are u applying for?
Hi liverpoolfan, hmm I guess I'm in sort of a similar situation as you. I've got a call from SPS regarding a job offer, and they said I had to go for a medical checkup..

After a week from receiving the job offer, haven't receive written/email job offer confirmation, did they send you one already?

Maybe you could try contacting the Prisons recruitment hotline regarding your medical examination status?

My status is still stated as "shortlisted" too..

Unless you are in the engineering fields, then NTU/NUS has part-time engineering degree. Masters have more options of course, ranging from NUS/NTU/SMU. but at the degree level, you can only expect unisim, which is not bad, but the duration is 3-4 years.
how about post grad diploma/ masters/ PHD? Will ministries send them for higher level education?

im stuck for close to three months. yup kind of depressed but thankfully i still have a job so can afford the wait. but then i think maybe i dont put too much hope and keep a look out for other jobs.
