ordinary folks will just get ordinary pay... BUT a decent condo and a family car is definitely achievable for most ordinary folks.

manage your money well, and with minimal luck and lots of good health, you'll get there.

working for others will lead you nowhere, unless you're a hotshot banker / trader / permanent secretary / minister (to me, lawyers and doctors are towkays in their own right), but places are so limited, competition so stiff and politics so ugly that being a successful small-time multi-millionaire towkay is definitely a much easier and less painful route.

my point is: if you wanna be rich while working for others, stop dreaming. go strive to become a towkay instead. otherwise, just be contented with that decent condo and family car.

Title is important when one is job hopping. you wont expect an analyst to job hop to Deputy Director.
