Good point on the comparative pay range, as SAF does pay more.

But this is more about equivalent pay scale.

E.g. a major crossing over to mx will in all likelihood be on 11 or 11A.

looks correct based on basic pay range. but i think uniform group (at least for army) for other combat or appointment allowance.. so a MAJ usually earn in the range similar to mx10 instead of mx11a

SLTC/LTC/SUPT =MX9/10

LTC and SUPT has several grades. The upper range of LTC is superscale grade.

I think this is a very good guess. My only disagreement is with the matching of MX 12 and MX 11. The uniform grp is having their annual promotion soon. It appears that DSP is equivalent to MX 11. Insp - ASP2 all lumped under MX 12.

Unregistered I got queries for rank in uniform service. What is the equivalent MX grade for Inspector / ASP / DSP. I guess INSP - ASP is equivalent to MX12? DSP 1 is MX 11 and DSP 2 is equivalent to MX 11A? How long does it take to move from Insp to DSP? I see that nowadays everyone is hired as an Insp.

DD in LTA can be LTE11 or 12.

LTE11 = mx10 upper
LTE12 = mx9

oh. average is 17 mths (including 1 mth MAC), i am in engineering scheme.
but i got a band B for each of the 3 yrs in there, my PB is always more than 3 mths.
