They prefer people with experience in commercial roles rather than audit. I can’t understand why the reputation of auditors has dropped to a new low. Despite being exposed to more stuff and working longer hours, experience in audit is not seen as valuable by hiring managers. 3 years of audit working hours is equivalent to 5 years in commercial roles.

Unregistered Hi everyone,

How do I explain to the client that they have to pay a premium price nowadays because fewer members of Gen Z are joining the audit industry? This has resulted in a shortage of manpower. Additionally, Gen Z is demanding significantly higher salaries.

As a result, high audit fees are unavoidable, and there is a need to pay a substantial premium for audit services.

Additionally, if you need the audit report quickly, we can expedite the process for a premium fee. It's like choosing between a taxi and a bus: paying a higher price ensures faster service and additional resources. Is my analogy OK?
You can’t tell them the truth. Every client wants to be treated like VIP.

After last round, a lot of local seniors left. They directly hire mostly from EY Malaysia (KL, JB , Melaka). save training costs since it's the same company and should be familiar with the system.
