s://.salary.sg/2020/graduate-employment-survey-2019-published-2020/

Im very impressed with the nus yale starting pay $9.9k.
9.9k is 75th percentile. Meaning you have 25% of grads earning more than 9.9k per month
I wondered if the yale nus peeps return to states and therefore this is their pay in the states.

If singapore salary, yale nus is really good. Many of us in this forum dont hit 10k

Of these, law and med are the least "risky" - meaning you're more or less assured of a job paying more than median income if you're at least above average.

As a lawyer, you'll be assured of a fairly decent income if you're in the top quartile of your batch. The top quartile generally end up in the big4, which pay 6k starting on average with an increment of 1k pm/y. After 6 to 8 years of slogging you can expect to make 200 - 250k or so per year as a junior partner.

Two years after qualification, a handful of big4 associates manage to get NQ spots in international firms. These pay anywhere from 9-11k (Silver circle and mid-tier intls) to 13-15k (Magic circle) and even up to 20k at the top US firms.

Pay per hour varies widely, with big4 lawyers generally working longer hours (10pm - midnight is the norm at some places) than their intl firm (save for US firms) peers.

Pay doesnt touch the top IB and S&T folks but OTOH noone really gets fired from a law firm once you're in. A pretty safe choice if you're looking for decent ROI at low risk.

Really? The chinatown firms where i work, their hair are all silver. Hence silver circles definitely dont pay 11-15k.

I just left a gov place, they paid ~5.2 for 2nd upper, FCH should be 5.4 ish? Gov pays really high bonus. Not to mention a 20k sign-on bonus (3yrs). On the other hand, startups don't really. I suppose this is the issue with talking about salary in the monthly sense.

Bank grad programs

For fresh grads who are keen to join the graduate programs offered by banks, is it better to accept a front office position in the local banks or middle office/ops position in foreign banks?

Unregistered 28-03-2020 12:57 PM

NUS Bachelor of Science with Honours (Yale-NUS) – $7,139 ($9,967)

Most likely a computer science degree? their students can opt to take computer science major as well.

foreign banks duh. front office local bank for what, the deal flow is so dry. you'd be better off in a foreign bank which has more opportunities to hop over to front office.
