How do you all get so much? I have been working 8 years and still getting < $70000. Got honors too.

As a non-scholar you should know that your max ceiling in civil service is ~8.5k, only 8 years got 6k already not bad. Dun forget you still got 20+ years more leh...

Below, pls advise if there is room to climb, should I switch industry?

Procurement sector,
Deg holder 31 this yr
7yrs exp
Basic 6.5k
Annual at 13mths.
VB, not fixed I rather not count as I m unsure what I will get

Change to banking industry, procurement this kind of no life forever cut cost environment no hope one. A lot of fresh grads in banks make more than you do now already.
