If you do the math, this category would include those people who applied for law school at the peak of the glut and prior to the mass delisting of the UK schools. I.e. those who couldn't get into local law school and had to apply for second tier UK or Aussie universities.

I’m actually an incoming NQ from one of the delisted law schools. This forum has guided me through law school and through my traineeship. Back in those days I actually received pretty valuable advice which helped me through the harder days. It’s disappointing to see that people are mostly dissing others out or trash talking here. I’m just glad that the people I know in the industry are mostly pretty nice and decent.

I'm not from a delisted law school but London. Quite frankly there's no difference in practice. Some of the greats do not have 'strong' academic grades like firsts.

Actually it’s a joke. It’s the delisted and London unis that are in the WS/MC that you all are talking about.

So if dissing the delisted and London unis make you happy by all means.
Besides these are some of the unis that the partners in these WS/MC/SC firms come from
Are you going to laugh at them too?

Also interested in people working in the legal arms of the Big Four accounting firms. Looks like EY bought a full functioning law firm and pwc is an FLP, while the rest are still just legal departments? Is working in these places more like being in house counsel or more like a regular law firm?

Sort of I guess. Nature of work in the Singapore office is purely M&A and R&I.

To anyone getting LinkedIn messages from these Big Four recruiters, please do not get enticed by the promise of having a hand in corporate IPO lol. Those kinds stuff simply do not happen often.

What are retention rates like in the mid-sized firms and small firms? Any figures?

Can anyone advise what are some of the different personality types for different practice areas (i.e Litigation, Tax, Cap Markets, Regulatory).
