I myself been working as an operations officer since i graduated from UOL last Aug.

Im not a MA but they take back about 55k a year excluding bonus.

Starting pay for degree is 3200 as of now still.

Looking at the local bank MA pay I really wonder what is so attractive about it that so many fresh grads fall head over heels to apply. Their monthly seems a bit higher, but they don't pay aws at all, so if you add up the annual package it doesn't really seem higher than what a lot of other industries / public sector can offer to fresh degree grads.

2 reasons:

1) prestige. satki to work in bank
2) network. once u step in door means can socialise with the rich and move to ib/pb side & next time can make few hundred k a year.

of course in real life most ppl in bank just end up overwork & underpaid. only small minority will make it big.

Depends on class of honours, it might be higher/lower than the other local bank.
