Banking & Financial Services Salary Guide 2011 by Robert Half:
(Mid and Back office only)
- Product Control, 6-9yrs exp, 120-200k
- Credit Risk, 6-9yrs exp, 120-200k
- Market Risk, 6-9yrs exp, 130-200k,

So as you can see, even for mid and back office roles, they do get quite a bit, so not everyone on the forum are being outlandish. I can't find the FO roles like IBD, S&T, ER, AM. Will update this when I find it, or perhaps someone could PM me.

Robert Walters is not your average recruitment agency. They service top tier companies. In the finance sector maybe some of their clients would be top tier banks like for example JP morgan, UBS, CITI. These top tier banks are usually pay masters. And of course those looking to be hired are themselves already working for a brand name banks who are already commanding a good salary.

First off, the report is by Robert Half, not Robert Walters.

Secondly, Robert Walters is just a normal recruitment agency, not one that services only top tier companies. Lots of local and smaller regional companies use them as well.

Would u consider yourself an above average performer in your bank, or is everyone from your bank with 5/6 years of experience getting the same range of pay as you. Kinda wondering if this is the norm or are you juz an outlier.
