Of coz going for pt degree is a way to go but I'm looking for other alternatives. I've considered taking up professional course like CAPM. So will like to have some inputs or direction that I can look up. Thanks!

Also, I have considered doing a mid career switch to doing data analyst related field. Which I chanced upon a gov website. They have a program called TIPP, which got me interested. Anyone have such experience on this? Will like to hear from you as well.

Don't bother. All attempts to improve ownself are in vain. Just accept your lot in life and wallow in misery. :(

You sure have a lot of time to wallow in your own misery as you go around different threads and tell people to give up and be a cardboard collector.

What you need is to work smart.
If you don't work smart, you will find yourself stuck in the same problem even after switching industry.

imo, if u want a career switch, go for something that doesnt really need a bachelor degree to entry and it wont be a differentiating factor. Cos in the field of data analytics, the hot thing right now, is quite hard to compete with a fresh grad from local uni who is smart and can work much longer time without any family obligations. At least what i saw, one position of data anlyctis on mycareersfuture has about 50-100 applicants

And do note that data analytics is not sth that can be easily taken up. dont go in and quit your current job unless u are very sure that u can do well in this. U got a family to feed. I hate to be the one that pour cold water on ppl, but i hope u can do better in life yet make safe decisions.

If you have extra cash to spend, go spend it on courses. This way you can learn new things and think of whether to pursue it as a career. If you going into data analyst, its tough. No related experience and no related cert to back it up.

Try not to follow the trend where the pay is higher and only to regret it later on.

I am in the same situation, but i don't have a family to feed. My parents are working to keep active and occupied. House fully paid (thankfully) and only need focus on daily necessities. Currently in a course and not employed so I have to minimize my spending. Good thing is i have enough savings to not be a burden to my parents. After ending my course, I probably will go back to working, although may be tough, but i probably not going for my degree related jobs as i had a taste of it for few months and hated it lol. Gonna go for other kind of jobs that keeps me moving instead of desk bound.
