Ur view is quite narrow, why dun u put ur engineering deg to good use?
Some jobs below which are desk bound, as u work up, more traveling

Procurement
Logistics
Supply chain
Sales (industrial equipment)

These jobs, benefit from engineering background as they require some knowledge/ analytical thinking of the industrial.

I think it's a waste for u to be in an admin post, ESP entry level.
I find admin jobs are generally rather replaceable , dispensable. Once the co is willing to invest in good systems or outsource to India/ china. They won't need too many admin staff

Hey, thanks for the offer. I'm currently working on Part-Time and waiting for SIT admission interview now.

Just recently I met up with my friends and came across a topic with the future job opportunities on Aerospace. They commented that the engineering prospects on Singapore will been sliding down slope in the later years.

How you guys think? Up for discussion.

pay cut is really deep... lower than the average posted in the survey here, lower than everyone's expectation of the lowest salary for degree holder, can almost compare similar to diploma holders.

one reason is companies don't see the need to give high pay for admin and paperwork.

but the learning experience here is priceless. IT and finance is a vast world on its own.

Do you have a degree in engineering from an accredited university? Sorry to say this, but if you are from a non-accredited university, that degree is useless for engineering.

Hi, with regards to your reply will I like to defend my point. I am not demanding any high pay with less work loads, the reason why I choose to work in administration is because of the working environment and I truly knows that entry level administration work doesn't seek high salaries as well. My opinion was to head towards this career path from the start to the top, that's what I meant by "career prospect". Of course I don't set my expectations that now I am currently just a Engineering Diploma Graduate and I holds no grounds with administration which in fact I am searching on Temporary Admin job positions to gain my experiences right now.

What engineering diploma and where did you get it from?
