What do you guys think about the 3rd party recruiters in finance? Do they actually have good opportunities with financial firms?

Does anyone have any idea which bank pays AWS? Are compensation quoted in monthly/annual package?

Hk based one apparently better on certain things

In any case, if you are outside the industry, these recruiters are not helpful. If you are inside the industry, you don't care who is better and just go for interviews for roles that fits what you want. A good no. of them have no idea of what they are doing anyway, salary advice or anything. More like a resume pusher than anything

Thanks for your helpful advice. In what area would HK recruiters be better in?

Potentially on remuneration negotiation since they deal with more foreigners working in HK. I only interact with one HK based agency to-date so can't give any personal experience. Just hearsay.

Anyway just be polite to them is good enough. Don't need to entertain them too much unless there is something you want. Sometimes they are just fishing information if they are not mindlessly pushing resume & opportunities.
