In life, there are winners and losers. Thats a fact. Average mediocre people can stick to their mundane lives complaining of wlb. Unfortunately there are calibers and levels, and university filters the population accordingly.

Personal view is BB back office is better than local banks IB. Apart from higher starting pay, anyone who can get into the former outfit should learn how to position his way to a more noticeable section or department in order to achieve higher visibility by upper management. With internal networking and upgrading the BB employee should be able to attain a basic remuneration of 10k by early thirties. That's pretty comfortable. Whereas in local IB I am just put off by its small capital market and M & A activities.
